The European Union regulates artificial intelligence and highlights the need for digital talent

Brussels, 11 August 2025. The European Union has launched the application of new rules for general-purpose artificial intelligence models. The regulation introduces binding obligations to ensure safety, transparency and accountability in the development and use of systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. With this legal framework, the EU seeks to protect fundamental rights, reduce systemic risks and support trustworthy technological innovation.
