5GDiGITS at EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026

As part of the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026, the 5G-DiGITs project was represented at the SAFE-6G booth. On behalf of the 5G-DiGITs consortium, Vaios Koumaras (INFOLYSiS) engaged with event participants, presenting the project’s objectives, achievements, and ongoing activities. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about how 5G-DiGITs leverages innovative 5G technologies to support the digital transformation of industrial environments, while also receiving promotional material.

The presence of 5G-DiGITs at the SAFE-6G booth provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with researchers, industry representatives, and policymakers, fostering synergies across European initiatives and strengthening the project’s visibility within the wider 5G and 6G research community.

The 2026 EuCNC & 6G Summit built on the successful combination of two leading conferences in the field of telecommunications: EuCNC (European Conference on Networks and Communications), supported by the European Commission, and the 6G Summit, which originated from Finland’s 6G Flagship programme, one of the first initiatives of its kind worldwide.

The conference was sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP), and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP). It focused on all aspects of telecommunications, ranging from 5G deployment and mobile IoT to 6G research and future communication systems and networks, including experimentation, testbeds, applications, and services.

The event brought together cutting-edge research, leading industries, and businesses from around the world. More than 1,000 delegates from over 40 countries attended to present and discuss the latest technological developments, while an exhibition featuring more than 50 exhibitors showcased innovations developed across the telecommunications ecosystem, including numerous research projects funded under European R&I programmes
