5G-DiGITs boosts European training in 5G technologies with the official launch of its digital learning platform

The new platform, presented in Malta, will offer courses, case studies and open resources for students, teachers and professionals interested in 5G, IoT, sustainability and digital transformation

Brussels, 5 December 2025. The European project 5G-DiGITs, co-funded by Erasmus+, has announced the official launch of its new learning and knowledge-sharing platform, a milestone that strengthens its objective of preparing Europe for job opportunities linked to digital and green transformation.

The platform, developed in Moodleby INFOLYSIS P.C. partner and hosted by the Universitat Politècnica de València partner, provides open access to specialised courses, case studies, teaching materials, forums and resources on 5G, Beyond 5G, IoT, sustainability, entrepreneurship and advanced digitalisation, enabling students, educators and professionals to connect, learn and share best practices. The development of the platform has been led by INFOLYSIS P.C., responsible for its installation, administration and maintenance.

Its main features include a modular design, free access through self-enrolment, public sections for news, forums, case studies and repositories, as well as private areas depending on user roles. The platform also includes a personal dashboard, active notifications and educational multimedia content that is already available.

The platform currently incorporates eight courses on advanced technologies—from network architecture and energy sustainability to digital, green and entrepreneurial skills—expected to be fully published by the end of 2025.

In its second phase, MOOCs aimed at professionals and industry will be integrated, expanding large-scale learning opportunities and fostering ongoing development of specialised skills.

Beyond the platform, the project is advancing in other key areas, including:

  • The preparation of a European analysis on market needs and emerging occupations in 5G, led by UPV.
  • A set of recommendations for education systems to better align with industry, coordinated by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
  • The organisation of international brokerage events, including the first one in Ireland with more than 50 participants among educators, students, professionals and investors, indirectly reaching over 500 people through dissemination.
  • The creation of a sustainability strategy and a Memorandum of Understanding to ensure the continuity of the alliance beyond the project, coordinated by Finnova.
